Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes.

I'm working on a music video that will have a mechanical metronome in the shots. I'm wondering if anypony is particularly knowledgeable about metronomes and would know if I might run into a consistency problem wit the metronome.

The source of my concern is that I will be using the same metronome in several shots, but these shots may be recorded weeks apart. I don't know if the metronome will vary slightly in it's tempo at the same setting between recordings and mess up the synchronization of the shots. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

A good one won't, but even if it does, couldn't you just speed up or slow the video down to make it match? A small adjustment won't be actually visible to anypony

Hmmm... you know, you have a point. Any variances would be very small, so a minor speed adjustment could probably work just fine...

And you could always ask somepony with a good sense of timing if the video is off, before uploading it officially.
