Feeling stuck in a rut? Can’t come up with any new ideas, or be motivated to write? Wanna get your name out on /fic/, or just practice your writing? Then the [Everything] Prompt is the thing for you!

Every Wednesday at 9:00 EST we’ll be posting a short prompt for anyone and everyone to write about. Once the prompt is posted, everyone will have one week from the time of the post to write something concerning the prompt. Any characters, genre, length, style, anything you can think of, so long as you can tie it back to the prompt. Also, if you have any ideas for a future prompt, please post them.

Also, if you’re interested, I will be compiling a list of works written for the prompt as well as the prompt they were written under. If you would like your submission added to the list, please say so in your post.

This week’s prompt is: The secret in Celestia's closet

I call bullshit there Var :)

Hmm. What would Celly's closet be full of? Vim x'd out Twilight... I'd like to consider doing a short piece about her keeping mementos and keepsakes of her past proteges in a private closet, but that feels overdone as a general concept... or maybe the closet is a gateway to another world, where she goes to have tea an crumpets with Alice and Azlan... or how about... oh shit. Oh holy shit. Suddenly idea that I have to try. This. Could be. Awesome.
six days? I don't know if I've time for it, but hell with it. I MUST WRITE

Months ago I thought of a similar (but far more absurd) idea wherein Celestia turns her mirror into a gateway to the Alpha Quadrant and spends quality time with Q. Omnipotent tomfoolery and trollcraft ensues.

That was in late July, before any rumors of S2 started circulating. I nearly shat myself when I heard John DeLancie would be voice-acting the new supernatural villain.

And it would be sci-fi.
Which is why I'm not doing one.

I, Vimbert, shall write a Twilestia fic. An idea has been rattling around in the "Madman" section of my brain for a while for this sort of thing, and this seems like the perfect opportunity. One week? LET'S DO DIS

3.2k words and counting. I'm going to try to finish mine up tonight, but it probably won't be as polished as I usually like my works to be.

Then again, the last time I rushed myself in this manner on ponyfic, I got my most well-received fic out of it, so... *shrug*

I never put much thought into word count while I'm writing. I only check it when I finish a story or a chapter, just to tell people so they can gauge its length. It's more important the story is a complete one.

I somehow manage to get by with just having a really vivid scene play out in my head, then building the story outwards from there. I pretty much can't stop thinking about my stories, so I generally don't need to write anything down outline-wise. I like writing it and letting it take me where it wants to go.

It sounds pretty unorganized and stupid, but I like to think I'm still decent at writing.

It happened to me too! It was supposed to be a comedy, and while it hasn't become serious per say, it's taking itself too seriously.

I'm not really sure I want to keep going, it's not as much fun anymore. I'll write Composure instead.

[Comedy][Light Shipping]
Miscommunications abound as Celestia just wants a day off from everyone treating her as a figure, not a pony. Meanwhile, Twilight deals with issues of her own as Spike enacts an underhanded plot.

It was an assortment of spambots posting in the wee hours of the morning. The posts have been removed but... Well, it's not like we can unbump their work.

That's why Ion and other individuals are so vehement about asking people to avoid making pointless multiple threads. They tend not to go away for months, and are often used to push viagra spam long after the subject is no longer even relevant.
I don't actually like asking people to delete them, but I understand the reasoning behind it.
