Kyle, if you're still here (or whenever you see this), I just want to let you know that I'm only saying this because I care about you.
I hate seeing you in this state where you're depressed because life isn't going in the direction you want it to go. For most people, that's usually how it turns out, but then they use that failure to make a comeback and work their way back towards a goal. Nobody ever in life got successful thrugh just a straight line pointing upwards. Life is a constant roller coaster full of sudden drops that sometimes come out of nowhere and seem to go on for a long time. But what comes down must come up and vice versa. If you really have gotten yourself into this mess and are going to be coming down to Texas within the year, then you need to take control of your actions, realize where you went wrong, and work your way back up by improving upon it. It's not going to be easy, hell; not by a long shot but I know you can do it. I had to drop out of college because the work and stress of it all combined with me having to work a job to pay for school just became too much for me. Maybe it's destiny that I never go to college and one day I will find the success that I too want to have. Like Candis said, a good way to work on fixing your procrastination problem would be to discipline yourself: Lock out your computer, don't open any tabs until you get the work done, or only give yourself a a limited amount of free time inbetween assignments. It's never easy and will take some time to get used too. But it pays off in the end, after all that's what I did at one point. Don't let this bump in the road stop you, you can overcome it with the right attitude.
And for that matter, it helps if you talk to your friends about these things. Don't just always keep things to yourself because bottling it up is just going to make matters worse. Talk to us whenever you need help with something or if you just want some advice. That's what friends are for, and as of late I seem to notice that you don't tell us enough of what's going on. You can contact me any time and any way you'd like and I'll do everything in my power to help you out and talk to you. You're one of my best friends, and I just don't want to see you like this, because it hurts me too. And friends shouldn't make their friends feel bad. If you end up coming here, then I welcome you with open arms and will help you the best I can to get you back on track to the university you want to go to.
