Welcome to /int/, where everything's slow and time doesn't matter. Notice that the thread is nearly a year old.

Sure, you can invade our territory. Where you thinking of heading?

I haven't a clue yet. Canada just seems like a good country overall. I have no specific plans yet because they're pretty far in the future. Anyplace you'd recommend? Maybe near you, mate?

Canada is a good country, and Vancouver is a good city, though it can be hell to move here - housing isn't exactly cheap in the most costly city in North America. But it's worth it, believe me.

Worth it? Perhaps. Able to afford it on one income? Less so. I'll see possibly. Then again, this squirrel...

Go wherever'll make you happy, mate. I have not experienced much of this world, or this country, so I cannot vouch for Vancouver in comparison with other Canadian cities. I just know that it is a beautiful place, and that many people speak highly of it. The choice is entirely yours to make.

Fine, let me give more then.

I have been around a good part of Eastern Canada (and other countries, but that's irrelevant), from Toronto to Halifax, and I can say without a doubt that Montreal is the best place around these parts (in my eyes, at least). Being a major centre, the city is always teeming with activities; it hardly goes a week without some sort of festival.
If that's not your thing, then surely the city's many faces will reel you in. You can't find a more multicultural city around these parts. You have not only a combination of French and English culture, but also the ones from all the other immigrants who call Montreal their home.

How's that for publicity?

But then again, Questing Dashie is right: You make the final decision and you will be the one living with it.

Yes, but YOU'RE in Vancouver. That's a pretty solid plus.

>>122476
That all sounds cool, but I feel like it would be a good place to visit and not live. Sorta like NY in the states. I lived there, wasn't a fan. Always bustling. I want the option to visit busy but my stable place to be calm.

I suppose I missed something, then.
From what I remember in New York, you're pretty much cramped up no matter where you go. At least everything is centred downtown. Scoot away from that (not the suburbs, but on the shores of the island) and you get peaceful and quiet neighbourhoods.

Of course, I'm pretty biased (if you hadn't noticed yet)...

A solid plus that shouldn't make up too much of your decision. Moving is a big deal. You don't move to a person, you move to a place. You must love the place itself.

I think you should visit both, perhaps in a nation-wide trip, and then see which you enjoy the most before you make such a big decision.

Wow. I know this sounds terrible, but... I'm kind of glad I wasn't the only one who missed it. I'd feel terrible knowing there was another brony hoping to find one another there and missing out.

If that makes any sense.

Also, last year I went to that blitz as Fluttershy.

All you southern Albertans stay safe now, y'hear? I know Edmonton and Calgary poke fun at each other over well-near everything, but y'all don't deserve this. None of you do.
