I have gotten a couple of questions about commission work, so I thought I would share how all of that works:
I do take commissions/requests n_n If you are looking for someone who rehairs ponies though, sadly I am not that person; I do molded hair and style existing hair only. I am just working on personal stuff and things to sell at the moment so commissions are open :) My online store where I post finished commissions for people to purchase is here: http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/SGalindoDesign
How my commissions are done: You tell me what you want, I will sketch it out for you if it is something that needs sketching out, I make what you want, then I will take pictures of the product and send them to you to be looked over to make sure you are happy with everything or if there are any changes that need to be made (if it is a pony I will do this before I seal it), after everything has been looked over/approved then I will post it to the reserved section of my online shop where you can pay/checkout via Paypal or Amazon Payments. If the commission is going to be for a pony/character that is not in the show or is an oc then I would like to have the materials costs paid for before I start working on it just to make sure that if something happens, then at least that part is covered. If the character is part of the show ex. Chrysalis or somepony else that doesn't have a figure yet or a brushable that you would like to have sculpted hair for, then you don't have to pay anything until after it has been made because I know it is a character that will probably be sellable on ebay or at my shop if something happens. If money is tight I also accept full or partial trades.
How fast the commission is made depends on how quickly I can acquire the base pony ex. if you have a Twilight already, but would like her to be a future Twilight, you can ship her to me and as soon as I get it I can finish it in a day or two and once you approve of the pictures and pay I can have it shipped to you the next day. If you do not already have the pony that you would liked worked on there are a couple of options: 1.) I go get the base pony at the store myself and then work on it right away if it is something you would like done as fast as possible. 2.) If time is not an issue, I can try to find a good deal for the base pony on ebay (usually a seller in China) which ends up taking a freaking looooooong time due to shipping, but may be cheaper in the long run; ex. I can get a Pinklestia for around $8 on ebay from China verses going to Target and getting a set with her in it which might be more expensive (if I have a cupon or if Toys r us is having a sale then it might actually be cheaper it just depends).
How my pricing works: I accept payment through Paypal or Amazon Payments and as I mentioned before, I accept full or partial trade which means you have something I want or can use and it covers both material costs and my time for the commission then you ship the item or items to me after you have approved the pictures of your finished commission; once I receive the traded items (preferably with tracking #) then I ship you your commission with tracking #. If we are doing a partial trade, you can ship the traded item to me with tracking # while I work on your commission piece (unless you are also shipping a figure you would liked worked on with it) then once I have finished and the pictures have been approved I upload it to my site and you pay the leftover cost of the commission, and then I ship it to you with tracking #.
Also, if I do not think that I can create the piece that you want, I will tell you upfront; likewise if I run into a problem during the process, I will let you know so we can decide what to do from there.
If something catastrophic happens during shipment, and the piece is destroyed, please let me know and have pictures. Last but not least, what I make is considered for display only. Sorry that was a very long explanation, but I like to try and make buyers as comfortable with the transaction as possible.
Also the bidding for glow in the dark Chrysalis is still only up to $10 http://www.ebay.com/itm/181135968209?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
