Seems to be one of several problems other users are having lately. I guess someone did a site update and it broke some code or something?

I've heard about some other people having the same problems, but I haven't been able to reproduce them. So answer the following questions:

>Browser used?
>Browser version? (usually Help > About)
>Operating system?
>32 or 64 bit?
>If Firefox, do you have the Greasemonkey, Scriptish, both, or neither?
>If Chrome, are you using TamperMonkey?
>If you have Greasemonkey, do you have Ponychan-X installed in it?
>If you have Scriptish, do you have Ponychan-X installed in it?
>If you have Tampermonkey, do you have Ponychan-X installed in it?
>Do you have the built in Ponychan-X installed? ( )

Okay, so I've done a bit of testing and I've discovered that independent of all other factors, the only browser that loads correctly is chrome.

Have you converted anything to chrome specific code (such as chrome experiment code/APIs)? Is there anything that would prevent javascript from doing it's thing in browsers that aren't chrome?

Also, here are the javascript errors as they appear in the Firefox console inspector.

It appears you are using certain javascript functions that are undefined to Firefox's javascript engine (like getCookie()). There is also a supposed missing ')' in kusaba.js, which could lead to total failure of the js file (probably why those functions are undefined).

Alright, now having given it a final look over, I have discovered that there is an oddly commented out line of code on the line before the line where the missing ')' error appears. This commented out line of code appears to have something to do with the desktop pony thing.

It appears to result in an odd code splicing when it goes to a new line, leaving just a snippet of code that looks like it should be connected to something else.

I haven't touched any of the javascript. Someone must have messed with it, or something else happened.

getCookie() is defined in kusaba.js, iirc.

So do we have any idea why it stopped working or why it started again?

Well, when it became fixed, I checked it out and someone had modified the kusaba.js file and corrected the broken code that I had pointed out here: >>163825

So if it wasn't you, I have no idea who it was.

Also, I now believe that chrome compiles code on a function by function basis as compared to firefox's and other browser's .js by .js file basis. Hence the reason it continued working in chrome.

Oh I see, I didn't know when or why someone had modified it in the first place. People should just stop modifying code without letting me know, if they do it at all.
And v8 is the only (well known) JS engine that actually compiles code. Firefox, Opera, IE, etc all just interpret the code in realtime.

Huh... Who else has access to the code?

Also, Firefox uses a JIT(Just In Time) compiler made of systems they call 'Monkeys'. The collective name of these systems is called 'SpiderMonkey'.
