We really need a capchia (like 4chan has) just to get rid of the spam/scam stuff

I don't think one really bad day equates to "needs captchas".
>> No. 163896 ID: 777e33
We should have a catchpa and a box right beneath it that reads "get rid of catchpas forever".

capchas are hella annoying

however, i think an idea to consider would be making any new IP have to enter a capcha -JUST ONCE-

to confirm they are real and not a bot

But sheesh, seriously, what's with all the porn today? We never get this much. I'm counting over 20 threads in the last 10 hours. I think that's a site record.

I'd deal with it if it got rid of the pedo shit.
>> No. 163902 ID: 5caed4
CAPCHA would work, yeah. Browser fingerprint banning would be even better though; it'd also get rid of that annoying "pork" spammer.

>one really bad day

Bro, /pony/ has been getting spammed with child porn for months now.

I'm pretty sure the CP spammer is a person, though.

Then we'll need browser fingerprint bans.

Why exactly haven't they been implemented yet? Especially in this day and age when proxies are so easy to come by.

I agree, anything to get rid of 'sky skimmer pork'. But what if he removes his fingerprints before typing spam..?

Maybe we could send him a virus or something, delete his RAM.

Top priority there.

>>163906
I thought so too in the past, but it seems to just be an extremely clever bot. A catchpa would likely beat it.

>>163908
Fingerprint bans wouldn't work at all.
>> No. 163911 ID: 5caed4

It's rather difficult to ban evade with browser fingerprints, seeing as it uses various (non-personal) info like the resolution and color depth of your monitor, what time zone you're in, what browser plugins you have installed, and what system fonts you have installed.

You'd have to essentially use a totally new device, to ban evade.

>Top priority

My priority is getting rid of the child porn spam so that the metaphorical internet police don't mistake Ponychan for a CP site and nuke it from orbit.

Ridding /pony/ of PunkSlope is a bonus.

I, too, wish to remove PunkSlope (ha!) from this place. How can I help?

Oh, yeah, no, it gets 'em like every night. /art/'s a really common target, too. Usually there's only one or two, though, and then we delete 'em quick and it's no big deal. These huge streams that last all morning are really rare and weird.

The ID's are different in each thread. That second post isn't the same person, I'm pretty sure he's not smart enough to say all that shit.

Step forward and be recognized, Schmaltzie. I got 9LIVES so bans mean squat to me. Why go anon?

if you have 9 lives shouldnt you only be able to be banned 9 times? maybe you should upgrade to infinitelives or something

It's pretty trivial for even a non-technically minded person to install user agent switching extensions and things like that. Browser fingerprinting won't help.
