One word I personally dislike is "disown". It just doesn't sound right to me. I would have thought the opposite of "own" would be "unown". Another is "inflammable". That sounds like the perfect word to mean the opposite of "flammable", but take away the "in", and it literally means the exact same thing! What's the point of that word existing then?! |
