Well if you're talking about just the chocolate without the fancification Belgians are known for it might seriously be better.

And Droste played an important part in figuring out the production process of modern chocolate... also they're known for the Droste-effect.

They were based in Haarlem, even visited the original factory there. :3

>>39805417

>Fruity flavors

No thanks, i prefer them just the way they are... though i've actually tried mixing some different kinds of jenever to remarkable effect.
The differences are small and subtle but if ya mix some it can get even better.

Ah, always thought they weren't too well respected honestly.

Personally i love their little pastilles... though not sure how it's perfect here.

...Now i feel inclined to make a dutch-thread or something, it'd be silly but then again that's sorta the point.

Maybe a low-lands thread would be more fitting, for anypony from Calais to Hamburg.

>>39805428

Tequila!
Dat is pas... eh... kippenvelgevend.

Maar ja, 't is voor mij net zoiets als rum in 't carrbische gebied, ook vooral lekker als je 't op de juiste plaats drinkt.

Agreed :o

I've been looking to score some here in Mexico, but the store that I found in Amazon doesn't ship here and ordering directly from Cote D'Or is for businesses that plan on selling the chocolate.

My imagination has to suffice. I can still picture that awesome whole hazelnut variety such clearly.

It's just that it shows that classic rivalry between the countries. Strong enough for the people to debate the topic, but friendly enough for the points that are given to not be offensive (at least that was my experience when my Belgian foster family went to visit some Dutch friends).

Oh, and if you like Tequila, I would recommend some quality brands like Don Julio 70 or Dobel Diamante. Pure, smooth, aged and clear tequila that is best enjoyed straight while taking sips of it.
>> No. 39805454
>>39805448

...Yeah i suppose.

It's mainly jokes nowadays, sure some criticism but that's often just used as a start to a pretty calm discussion.

And why not after all? We're all provinces under that lardass of a EU. :p
Sorta straightens out the old historical ties of ex-overlord and rebellious provinces.

Also no offense but i really don't like Tequila, at least not what i've tried so far though i don't remember the brands.
I'll give it a try again when in Mexico sometime perhaps, i've found that local drinks tend to be most suited for the place they've brewed.

The problem with Tequila is that the marketing is heavily targeted towards the PAAAAARTYYYYY mentality associated with vacationing in Mexico, and thus, the most popular brand of tequila are the cheaper ones that are meant to be mixed with whatever people mix with it.

The brands I mentioned are aged and filtered to make it as pure as possible, so if you happen to get drunk, the hangover will be very light when compared to a shitty Tequila.

I could go on about this but holy hell that would be boring, so I'll continue to gleefully read your responses in Dutch.

I dunno.
We did that on youth camp long ago.

It's just tequila shots taken with some salt and while biting a lemon.

After googling, the appropriate way seems to be to mix Tequila with some soda, slam the glass on the table (boom boom) and then drink it in one go.
