Core Stat System
Stat based system with everything based of six core stats. Everyone starts with a ten in every stat. Only items increase these stats. Every non-damaging roll is a 1d20
+(Correct Modifier).
How it Works
Essentially for every two points past ten you get a +1 to your rolls. Only gear increases these stats and everyone starts with 10 on everything.
0 = -5 2 = -4 4 = -3 6 = -2 8 = -1 10 = +0 12 = +1 14 = +2 16 = +3 18 = +4 20 = +5 ETC
The Core Stats
-Strength Climb, Jump, Swim, Breaking Things, Wrestling, Melee Damage Increase, Bullrushing, Overpowering, Throwing, etc.
-Constitution *Fortitude Saves, Concentration, Resisting Posion, Hit Point Increases, Avoiding Drunkenness
-Dexterity *Reflex Saves, Increases Rating, Avoiding Area Attacks, Balance, Escape Artist, Move Silently, Stealth, Ride, Open Lock, Pick Pocket, Use Rope, Tumble.
-Wisdom *Will Saves, Heal, Listen, Sense Motive, Spot, Survival, Professions.
-Intelligence Number of Languages, Appraise, Craft, Decipher Script, Disable Device, Forgery, Knowledge, Search, Spellcraft, Smart Stuff, Reading, etc.
-Charisma Bluff Diplomacy, Disguise, Gather Information, Handle Animal, Intimidate, Perform, Use Magical Device, Influence Others.
The Secondary Stats
Everyone starts with 10 Hit Points. Each +1 to Constitution increases Hit Points by 2. Everyone starts with 0 Armor Rating. Each +1 to Dexterity increases Armor Rating by 1. Armor/Gear increases this number as well. Everyone starts with a 0 Hit Rating. Each +1 to their main stat increases Hit Rating by 1.
-Armor Rating Increased by gear, dexterity, and magical buffs. -Health Points Based Off of Constitution -Hit Rating Based Off Main Stat
Saves
These are increased by your core stats
Fortitude Saves - Resist Posion, Being Knocked Unconscious, Extended Exercise, Holding Breath, etc. Increased by Constitution. Will Saves - Charm, Seduction, Mind Control, Nerve Damage, Toxins, etc.Increased by Wisdom. Reflex Saves - Dodge Stuff, Avoid Area Attacks, etc.Increased by Dexterity.
